We provide support to individuals to enable them to live independently in their own home.

Day & Support Services

We provides support to individuals to enable them to live independently in their own home and to contribute to and be connected with the community in which they live. This includes Supported Independent Living (SIL) to 16 residents across 5 houses which sit beside our Day Service centre on our main site. Experienced and qualified staff provide 24 hour direct care with sleepover support. Independent living with low support is also provided at another residence.

Outreach Support

Individual support is provided to clients which reflects and supports the person in achieving their goals and dreams and assists them in meeting their support requirements.  All individual support plans are developed in accordance with the following principles:

  • Engagement and relationship building

  • Support coordination

  • Skill development/maintenance

  • Personal care

  • Reduce isolation

Mirridong Services brokers their services to other Disability Support providers by providing staff to assist clients with their respite needs.

Supported Employment

Green Thumbs Gardening Services is a supported disability employment service managed by Mirridong Services.

Green Thumbs Gardening Services provides supported employment to a number of employees. Funding is obtained from the federal government and the business falls under the guidelines of the Australian Disability Enterprises. Services provided include lawn mowing, edging, pruning and weed control. Major clients include Work Cover insurers, large business, government departments and schools.

Green Thumbs Gardening Services is quality accredited to both the Commonwealth’s Disability Standards (BSI) and is the national standards for Occupational Health & Safety.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Mirridong Services has a proud history of providing quality programs to people with an intellectual disability from the Yarram and surrounding districts. 

With the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Mirridong is committed to continue providing the quality services that it has traditionally provided along with some additional services for our regular participants.
